Flex Leaf Spring

How do you make a part flex, for example a leaf spring?

Asked By Trevor D.From Boston Scientific

The Flex feature provides a free-form method of bending, stretching, tapering and twisting parts in a way that would be very difficult using standard sketch-based features such as extrude, revolve, sweep and loft. In this SolidWorks Video Tutorial, we’ll take a look at how to bend a part using the flex feature.

Configuring Parts within an Assembly

Is there a way to use different versions of the same part in an assembly?

Asked By Peter B.

Configurations are a very powerful tool in SolidWorks. They can be used for a wide variety of purposes from creating families of parts, creating simplified representations of a part, or assigning different attributes, such as a material, to create different versions of the same part.
The great benefit is that configurations allow you to do any of these things within a single part file. This SolidWorks video tutorial will show the basics of using configurations in an assembly.

Asked By Matt M.From Urschel Laboratories Inc.

SolidWorks is really flexible when it comes to creating drawings, and there’s almost always a way to achieve whatever effect you need on a drawing. However, sometimes there’s a trick to it. In this SolidWorks video tutorial, we’ll look at how to place a section view on its own sheet in a drawing
