Is there a way to find the polar moment of inertia for a beam?
Asked By Subhash
SolidWorks automatically calculates a lot of values for you when you create a model. In this SolidWorks video tutorial, we’ll look at how to find the polar moment of inertia for a beam by viewing its section properties.

Assembly Configurations
Can you create and control configurations of an assembly?
Asked By SachinFrom Emerson Process Management
Configurations allow you to create different versions of an assembly within the same assembly file. There are many reason you may wish to do this…you might need a simplified configuration, you might create a configuration where all purchased components are hidden, you may wish to show internal components. In this SolidWorks video tutorial, I’ll show you how to do so.

Patterning Brush Bristles with a Curve Driven Pattern
How do you pattern bristles on a brush?
Asked By Tony C.From TopCAD Designs
SolidWorks provides many great features for users to replicate geometry on a part, no matter how complicated the pattern is. Here in this SolidWorks video tutorial, we’ll look at how to model the bristles on a spiral cleaning brush using the Curve Driven pattern to create bristles along a helix sketch.

Subtracting Bodies
How can I subtract one body from another?
Asked By Alireza R.
Sometimes the easiest way to achieve the final geometry you’re after is to create two separate bodies, and then either combine or subtract them from one another. Here on this part, I have 2 bodies: a plate and a tube that runs through the plate.
What I’d like to do is remove the volume of the tube from the plate. The plate can then be cut in half, so that when the halves are joined together, a channel is formed through which liquid can pass. In this SolidWorks video tutorial, we’ll look at how to do just that.
