San Diego, CA., April 9th 2014 — SolidProfessor, a leader in CAD, CAM and BIM education, announced today that April 2014 marks the company’s 10th year anniversary. Ten years ago SolidProfessor released their first eLearning course for SolidWorks. Since that time their involvement in engineering and architectural communities has rapidly grown as the need for rich, digital learning content has increased. SolidProfessor now offers comprehensive learning solutions for SolidWorks, SolidWorks API, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, Revit, Navisworks, Mastercam, CAMWorks, and more.

SolidProfessor founders, pioneers of eLearning and online technical training, set out to change the way mechanical engineers learn to utilize design software. Traditional training methodologies aren’t keeping pace with the rapid development of design tools preventing many users from realizing their full potential. SolidProfessor’s eLearning management system ensures that users are able to stay at the forefront of their field by placing the knowledge and resources they need at their fingertips. Having an immediate impact in their life and working environment.

Dave Ptak, President and co-founder of SolidProfessor, said “In 2004 we released a 2 hour batch of video lessons on cd-rom. Now in 2014 we provide valuable eLearning content and learning management tools to some of the largest and most respected commercial and academic institutions around the world. What’s most exciting to me is that this education technology revolution in learning is just getting started. We are very grateful and excited to be around the energy and innovation that is happening in this space and can’t wait to be apart of what’s next.”

Tony Glockler, Channel Manager and co-founder of SolidProfessor, said “We started off with the goal of helping people learn SolidWorks and along the way have met with hundreds of customers and learned that we’re not just improving careers, we’re improving lives too.  In one case that’s stuck with me a customer was able to learn SolidWorks from scratch with SolidProfessor, even though he had no CAD background or access to the software. Now he’s the primary designer developing their next generation of manufacturing systems. We’re excited with the work we’re doing in the education space and with our new Autodesk products so that we can bring these same opportunities to even more people.”
