Our new suite of Mastercam 2017 courses will help users become proficient with creating toolpaths for 2D Milling, 3D Milling, Turned parts, and 4 Axis machines. These Mastercam 2017 courses are the first release in a series of new Mastercam courses that will benefit new and veteran CNC programmers alike.
Throughout each course, you will dive into several real-world projects to learn how to create, edit, manipulate, and verify. Additionally, you will learn how to adjust settings and choose the correct tool for the job. Experienced users can brush up on specific functionality, while new CNC programmers can complete each course to attain SolidProfessor Technical Certificates and share their achievements on LinkedIn.2017 Mill 2D
The Mill 2D course serves as a foundation to get new programmers working in Mastercam while learning various methods to select geometry and prepare 3D Models for toolpaths. The course focuses on the techniques and best-practices to create, edit, and manipulate toolpaths for Contours, Facing, Drilling, Pockets, Slots, and Engraving. You will also learn how to verify toolpaths through simulation and make adjustments to prevent collisions and optimize machining time.
The Mastercam Mill 2D course is included in SolidProfessor’s Standard membership plan.2017 Mill 3D
The Mill 3D course builds on skills developed in the Mill 2D course. Along with some tricks and best-practices for successful toolpath creation and G code posting, you will learn how to manipulate geometry, set up roughing and finishing for 3D toolpaths, and choose the correct tool for the job. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to create the essential Mastercam 3D toolpaths for any 3D part.
The Mastercam Mill 3D course is included in SolidProfessor’s Standard membership plan.2017 Lathe
The Lathe course is for programmers working with turned parts. You will use geometry selection, toolpath creation, modification, and verification expertise in this course to create 2 axis lathe toolpaths. With several project-based examples, you will be able to set tools, guide them with precision, and learn to drill, groove, and thread parts with a lathe.
The Mastercam Lathe course is included in SolidProfessor’s Professional membership plan.2017 4 Axis
The 4 Axis course dives into more advanced programming for machines that have a 4th rotary axis. Through a series of real-world projects, you will gain an understanding of Vertical 4 Axis Mill, Round Part and Non-Round Part Indexing, Horizontal 4 Axis Mill Fixture Indexing, and 2D Toolpaths for 4 Axis Mills.
The Mastercam 4 Axis course is included in SolidProfessor’s Premium membership plan.
