New and Updated Courses

Our new SOLIDWORKS Electrical is expected to be available this Friday, November 6th.  I can’t wait to hear what you think!

We’re also continuing to update our courses to correspond to SOLIDWORKS’ 2016 release:

  • Core Concepts for Parts and Assemblies: has over 100 lessons about the most commonly used functionalities in Parts and Assemblies.  Great for students who have completed SOLIDWORKS 101 – Academic or SOLIDWORKS for Beginners!
  • File Management: covers preserving file references when saving, moving, and copying SOLIDWORKS files to facilitate collaboration on projects.
  • Mold Tools and Plastic Design: explains how to design molds in SOLIDWORKS and how to use the Fastening Feature.

Teaching to Meet the Learning Styles of Millennials

Today’s students learn differently than students in year’s past.  Growing up with the internet, smart phones, and tablets, millennials are particularly tech savvy and have shorter attention spans.  They benefit from microlearning methods, which, in contrast to traditional, instructor-driven training, are often self-paced and built around the needs of the learner.

SolidProfessor can help you incorporate microlearning in your classroom; by breaking our courses into smaller assignments, students will receive small chunks of information that they can easily digest and understand.  Creating assignments for your students helps both you and them track their progress and understanding.

Not sure how to create assignments or want some help breaking your lessons into smaller sections?  Just send us an email, and we’d be happy to help!
